I’m writing this in the Lake District, where I spent many bank holiday weekends as a kid. It’s been lovely, slowing down the pace, wearing hoodies and jeans and eating amazing local food (the Lakes is a food-loving person’s paradise). I feel so lucky to be able to spend the weekend here, and this whole weekend has felt like a funday, as my new jumper will tell anyone who looks. So I’ve had a bit of a break from the blog. Cue lots of the usual being annoyed at myself, chastising myself and the like. If that’s not what success looks like, show me what does! Jenny started the business officially back in 2009, although she’s been creating for years before that. She even worked with Damien Hirst for…

It always raises a reaction, being from Liverpool. I’ve introduced myself in many countries, and in circumstances foreign to my own (a debating competition against kids from Eaton for example) and everyone knows the place I call ‘HOME home’. For the football, for the music, for the brilliant night out they had there once with the chatty cabby that took them home – whether they’ve been or not,…
